It is official, the new DC Shoes 2012 PBJ snowboards and snow gear are available in stores worldwide! To find a store near you that carries DC Shoes 2012 snow gear click here. Here is what you have to do to win a free Viz Art Ink signed print.

RAW:natural born artists is an independent arts organization, for artists, by artists. RAW handpicks and highlights local artistic talent in film, fashion, music, visual art, hair and makeup artistry, and performance art.

RAW is an incredible artistic showcase for artists in over 20 different cities each month. 

At the end of every RAW season (February-October), they host an annual indie arts award show called RAWards. Since I participated in RAW in July at the Ivy Nightclub in Downtown San Diego, I am eligible to win the category for Visual Artist of the Year.

Thank you for everyone who has stayed in touch and for supporting my art! A lot has happened in the last couple of months and things keep moving forward. Two weeks ago the DC Shoes 2012 snowboards and snow gear has been released and are now sold worldwide! Make sure to get the snow gear so you can be the first to have it on the mountain. I have also finished designing the Dregs skateboard and will be released later this month.

In the last couple of months I have been traveling and doing art events throughout California. I spent sometime in Yosemite a couple months ago and started creating a piece about my experience. There is so much peace and beauty in Yosemite so I figure it would be a great addition to the collection. On 9/11/11, I finished the Yosemite piece which will be released next month. Make sure to join my e-mail list so you can be the first to see it!

Today I will be starting on the second part of “Childhood Dreams” which will be the girl version. After many requests and finishing other projects, I felt it was time to get this artwork started. Look out for this piece to be finished in the coming months.

I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the projects. I finished “A Night to Remember”, my version of Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night”, a couple months ago and I will be selling prints on my website in the next month. It turned out great and I think it will be a new best seller.

I also just finished a couple new greeting cards. One was a “Get Well” and the other was a “Thank You” so look out for those updates as well. Today I started on a new project for Dregs Skateboards who makes longboards. They are a great local company so make sure to check out their website, www.dregsskateboards.com. I’m on a deadline to finish this board by the end of the month and I have a lot of work ahead of me. Thank you for all the e-mails and I appreciate all the support. I want to start off and thank everyone for the support and the love I get everyday from you! I couldn’t do what I do without the support from family, friends and fans! This is an exciting month for me because today was the release of my Skinit’s for your cell phones and laptops. If you have either one of them or both check out the link, http://www.skinit.com/skins/art/gregg_visintainer. Also this month will hopefully be a start to a new relationship with a company called Reef. Recently, I was at the Encinitas farmer’s market selling my art and was approached by the Product Graphic Designer for Reef. We are suppose to meet sometime this month and go over some ideas and concepts. If everything works out I will be drawing some badass artwork for an amazing company. Cross your fingers and hopefully we can get my art on some board shorts and sandals. Other than that, Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” is coming along and hopefully I will have something ready for you in the next couple of weeks. I still have about 25 hours left but I’m planning on finishing it before I start any other projects, (hopefully Reef). Thanks again for everything and stay tuned for more to come in 2011. Plans have changed a little but I think it is a good change. I finished drawing the hat and will be turning the artwork in at the beginning of the new year. Flat Fitty, I think you are going to like it! Once I was done with the hat I wasn’t looking forward to create new greeting cards. For some reason my mind kept wondering to the famous painting by Van Gogh, “The Starry Night”. I have been asked many times to recreate his painting in my style but I wasn’t inspired at the time. I went to the book store and looked up Van Gogh. Next thing I realized was I had bought a hand full of books about him. What I’m trying to say is I am very much inspired after looking carefully at his artwork and studying him as a artist. I just started working on the new artwork yesterday and I plan on spending most of my time drawing my version of “The Starry Night”. Make sure you stay tuned in, it’s going to be insane! Hello everyone and thank you for being so patient for the new updates to my website. It’s been a work in process but it was worth it. New on the website is a total of 15 prints, new freelance artwork, 5 new canvas artwork for sale and 15 new greeting cards. Also the calender has been implemented under the tab “Events” so you can see my weekly markets and shows. Currently, I am working with a couple great companies so I can expand my products and help grow my business. I am working with Skinit right now to put my art on phones, laptops and accessories for the technology industry. These products should be available in the first quarter of 2011. I am also really excited about a new company I’ve been working with in the last couple weeks to create my own artist signature series hat. The company is called Flat Fitty and they are an extremely amazing, creative and game changer company in the hat industry. Make sure you also take a look at their website, www.flatfitty.com. Besides trying to get those products out I’m trying to expand my greeting card line and will be focusing on creating over 25 new greeting cards in the next 6 months. I have a couple huge stationary shows coming up in Los Angeles and New York in 2011. I’m trying to take my greeting cards nation wide so look out for them in a store near you! 2011 is going to a big year for me so keep in touch and check back to see what is new. I’ve been busy getting some new artwork done and I haven’t had my website updated in a while. I will have new artwork and new greeting cards up very soon. I’ve been working on a new piece titled “Childhood Dreams”. This artwork brings me back to my childhood days. I think a lot of people are going to relate to this piece when they were a kid. I should be done with it by the end of November and have the website fully updated by November 15, 2010. Thank you for all your patience and again thank you for everyones support.
